Translation communicates the content
A translation carries the meaning of a source document into another language. The work includes terminology, names, dates and other details relevant to the record.
Certification provides supporting details
A receiving organisation may ask for a translation accompanied by a signature, stamp, statement or particular translator credentials. The exact format is determined by its requirements.
Attestation is a separate process
Attestation relates to document verification. It does not translate the content and a translation does not automatically complete attestation.
Ask the receiving body first
Before ordering, ask which documents, languages and supporting steps it requires. QALES can then assess the relevant certified translation or attestation enquiry.
